The shutter release cable connects to your DSLR and to the SlideSnap’s control panel. It allows the control panel to speak with your camera by sending focus / capture commands.
The SlideSnap ships with the two most common shutter release cables; N3 and C1. Refer to the information below to make sure the correct cable is supplied with your unit. This is not an exhaustive list because new camera models are constantly being introduced, refer to your manual or contact us if unsure.

Sony camera’s, up until the 2020’s, had a proprietary version of the USB Micro connector called a Multi connector. It looks like USB Micro but longer. It can be used for charging, shutter release, OR USB tethering. If you want to be able to tether, see our SnapTether cable.
